St Luke’s Church
We are located on Cliff Lane, Ipswich (opposite Cliff Lane Primary School). There is plenty of parking spaces in the street and a small number in the grounds of the church.
We meet on Sundays at 11am. Our service is informal and friendly with an emphasis on heartfelt worship and on meeting Jesus and knowing him better through the pages of the Bible. We warmly invite you to come and join us, even if you haven’t been to church for many years (or ever!)
We have communion services on the 3rd Sunday of the month.
Children are very welcome at our services. Our leaders and preachers try and pitch the service to be meaningful for everyone no matter how young or old. To find out what’s on specially for kids, click here.
We encourage everyone at St Luke’s to be a part of the weekly pattern of meetings and activities designed to unite and strengthen us as a church of people following Jesus together.
You can find out what we do midweek as churches in our benefice (weeks 2 & 4 of each month) from the 'Midweek' menu above.
Fellowship Groups weeks 1 & 3 of every month
Church is about more than meeting once a week - Jesus is all about bringing people together to learn from him and care deeply for one another. That can’t be done in an hour on a Sunday. That’s why we meet in fellowship groups.
In St Luke’s fellowship groups we:
- spend time studying the Bible, focusing particularly on how we can put into practice the things Jesus is teaching us in his word
- catch up and share what’s been going on for us, both the joys and the sorrows
- give and receive the kind of care that you can’t get in a service on a Sunday
- bring things to the attention of our loving God, as we call him Father and believe that he hears the prayers we say, both for ourselves and for one another.
Everyone at St Luke’s is part of the church fellowship group network, even those who don’t feel able to come! If you choose not to attend you will still be treated as part of a group, because this is how we believe we can best care for you. (For example, people who don’t come to fellowship groups will be asked regularly by their group leader how they are doing and whether there is anything they would appreciate the group praying for.) If you are new-ish and you would like to join a fellowship group, please email Adrian Gardiner, our fellowship group coordinator.
Grapevine meets in the hall every Wednesday morning 10-11:30 during school term times and is for babies and toddlers to enjoy with their parents or carers. There are toys for the children as well as a story and a song, which we enjoy after a drink and a snack. Tea and coffee are served to parents and carers. Cost £1 per session. We look forward to welcoming you! For more info contact Di Gardiner 01473 723450.
Coffee Pot Café
